Pet portraits

An oil portrait of your dog or cat, true to the eye.

Upload a photograph of your pet. The studio prepares three painterly proofs side-by-side — choose the brushwork, the palette, the light — and finishes the chosen proof as a real oil-canvas painting that captures coat, eyes, and markings the way you remember them.

Tuned breed by breed

British Shorthairs render differently from tabbies. Goldens carry different light than Labradors. The studio keeps a per-breed palette and brushwork register so the pet you upload comes out looking like itself, not a generic painted dog or painted cat.

ii.

Identity locked, style relaxed

Coat pattern, eye colour, ear and muzzle shape — those stay exactly as in your photograph. Only the painterly variables (impasto vs. tonal, warm vs. cool, daylight vs. studio) are yours to choose. Three proofs side by side; pick the one that feels like your pet.

iii.

Finished as a real painting

The chosen proof prints on 380 g/m² acid-free cotton gallery canvas with archival UV pigment. Raised UV-relief brushwork — up to 1.8 mm — adds physical impasto in the fur, the highlights, and the background you want emphasized. Hand-varnished and framed to order.

Common questions

Will the painting actually look like my pet?
Yes. The pipeline locks identity from your source photograph — coat pattern, eye colour, ear and muzzle shape — and only relaxes style. If a proof does not look right, the studio polishes another at no extra charge.
Can I put more than one pet in the same painting?
Yes, up to three at no extra charge. Either upload one photograph with all of them together, or send separate photographs and the studio composites them into a single scene.
Do you do pet memorial portraits from older photographs?
Yes. Older or lower-resolution photographs are welcome — the studio works with what you have. If the source is too soft to read clearly, you will hear about it before any work is committed.
How much does a custom pet oil portrait cost?
Raised UV-relief rolled pet portraits start at $49 for an 8×10" piece. Each standard size has a clear price, with free US shipping included.
How long does a pet portrait take to ship?
First proofs land on screen in about three minutes. From the proof you approve, delivery is usually within 15 business days — painted, finished, framed, and tracked-shipped free anywhere in the contiguous US.
